INPUT UNIT:- Data and
instruction are entered into the computer through an input unit using
different-different input devices.
Ex:
- keyboard, mouse, joystick, touch
screen, trackball, track pad, etc.
OUTPUT UNIT: - The
computers communicate with user through output unit using different-different
output devices.
Ex:
- monitor, printer, speakers, etc.
STORAGE UNIT: - The storage
unit of computer is basically divided into two main categories.
1.
PRIMARY STORAGE: - Primary
storage of a computer is also known as main memory. Now a day’s semiconductor
memory are used as primary storage.
2.
SECONDARY STORAGE: - Secondary
storage of a computer is also known as auxiliary storage. Hard disks are used
as secondary storage.
CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU):- CPU is the brain of computer; all
the calculation and comparison take place inside the CPU. It two parts these
are as follows-
1. ARITHMETIC
LOGIC UNIT (ALU)
2. CONTROL UNIT
